CSB supports Indigenous youth leadership project
Community Sector Banking and Community Fleet Services are strong supporters of the Jobs Australia Foundation and its commitment to Indigenous Leadership. The inaugural Jobs Australia Foundation gala charity dinner was held on Thursday 22 October in conjunction with the Jobs Australia conference in Hobart.

The event provided an opportunity for Jobs Australia members and supporters to learn of Jobs Australia Foundation’s activities, current partnerships and the upcoming Indigenous youth leadership trek of the Kokoda Trail. Patron of the trek, Kyle Vander-Kuyp spoke of his current ambassador roles in many Indigenous communities around Australia and of his commitment to the trek and its participants. Nearly 300 people attended the dinner and participated in various fundraising activities including the major fundraising raffle, a frenzied silent auction and entertainment by singer/songwriter Casey Donovan and her band.

Community Sector Banking and Community Fleet Services partnered with Toyota to donate the major prize for the fundraising raffle – a 2009 Toyota Yaris. We were delighted with the generosity shown by our customers, colleagues and supporters to the Foundation’s work. All funds raised from the raffle will directly support young Indigenous participants in the leadership trek of the Kokoda Trail in August 2010.
