Oxfam Australia is an Australian, independent, not-for-profit, secular, community-based aid and development organisation. Oxfam Australia’s vision is of a fair world in which people control their own lives, have their basic rights achieved and the environment is sustained.
Oxfam Australia is involved in community-based aid and development programs, including long term self-help development projects in twenty-nine countries. Oxfam Australia responds to emergencies around the world with emergency assistance, such as water and sanitation, and campaigns for a more just world by addressing the root causes of poverty and injustice. Oxfam Australia is also involved in ethical investment, banking and travel and publishes a news magazine, policy papers, reports and books.
